“Parish-Hadley Tree of Life” Book Launch at Carlton Hobbs

The Parish-Hadley Tree of Life Book Launch at Cartlon Hobbs. On October 13th, we celebrated the book launch of Parish Hadley – Tree Of Life, here at 60 East 93rd Street. The book, written by Brian McCarthy and Bunny Williams, celebrates the history of this legendary design firm, whose clients included The Kennedys, Rockefellers, and Gettys, among many others. Founded by Sister Parish and Albert Hadley in 1962, the  firm would become one of the most admired and influential in the country. Their magnificent designs seamlessly merged comfort and with refined elegance, and have left an enduring mark on American decor. During the nearly three decade period which Parish-Hadley was in business, they employed an astounding number of decorators would go on to have their own successful design careers. In Parish Hadley – Tree Of Life, thirty of these decorators detail their experiences working at firm, along with how Parish-Hadley influenced their work throughout their careers.
