Jean Luc Baroni’s Exhibition At Carlton Hobbs

February 5 2014, 1:00pm

We were delighted to host the latest exhibition of Old and Modern Masters dealer Jean Luc Baroni  here at Carlton Hobbs last week. The exhibit featured paintings, drawings and sculptures by over twenty artists, with works ranging from the 16th through 20th centuries.   Some of the included works were Füssli’s haunting 1783 painting Three Witches and a Fra Bartolomo drawing, Head Of A Friar Wearing A Cowl, which has not been shown to the public in nearly two centuries. Especially impressive was the massive Allegory Of Virtue painting by Jacopo Ligozzi which was commissioned by Francesco I De’ Medici for the Casino di San Marco in Florence. If you were not able to stop by and see the show in person, here are some photos of the exhibit!
